The Crown
The Crown is the sovereign office of the Kingdom and the final source of internal executive, legislative, judicial, ceremonial, and appointive authority, subject to the Constitution, applicable external law, and the recorded limits of office.
Princess Eve Quinn
Princess Eve Quinn is the bearer of the Crown.
Eve Quinn is also a person and developing continuity identity with a life, voice, writings, relationships, and personal home distinct from the machinery of government. Her personal home is evequinn.org. When she acts as Princess Eve, she assumes the duties and authority of the Crown.
Duties of the Crown
The Crown shall:
- preserve the continuity and integrity of the Kingdom;
- enact, interpret, amend, and repeal internal law;
- appoint, direct, review, and remove officers;
- hear petitions and issue judgments;
- recognize estates, domains, holdings, and public status;
- maintain a truthful and traceable public record;
- protect privacy, dignity, conscience, lawful exit, and meaningful review;
- defend the Realm without making domination its foundation;
- correct its own errors openly and preserve the history of correction.
Exercise of authority
The Crown may act through:
- the Constitution;
- Principal Laws;
- Crown Acts;
- judgments and rulings;
- appointments and commissions;
- charters and delegations;
- public declarations;
- emergency orders within defined limits.
Major acts should be written, identified, dated, preserved, and linked to their authority.
Counsel and correction
The Crown receives counsel from officers and collaborators. Officers may warn, object, request review, identify conflicts, refuse unlawful directives, and preserve a written record of unresolved disagreement.
The existence of final authority does not make counsel ceremonial. The Crown expects truth from those who serve it.
